lcroma.com: 20 years of online fetish community
From Flash to Wordpress
Since its birth in 1999, the Leather Club Roma had a website, initially on geocities and then, since 2000, on the lcroma.com domain.
There were the early days of the web and the site used technologies that would later be abandoned but which were then real avant-garde : flash, frontpage as builder, HTML tables for pagination.
Right from the start, the Leather Club Roma website stood out for its frequent updates and the wealth of content, with in-depth articles and news.
Since 2008, the Leather Club Roma website has been given a new graphic design, created by Claudio Pisu.
The Technology evolves, tables give way to CSS and, thanks to Claudio's work, the club's website presents itself with its own, well-kept and captivating identity.
The maintenance and updating of the site are constant and done directly on the HTML code (what an effort!); in these years the site becomes an online point of reference for the Italian fetish community, so much so that it has been mentioned in several sector publications (among all, the encyclopedic BDSM - Guide for explorers of extreme eroticism)
In 2016, the Leather Club Roma website takes another step forward: it adopts a responsive structure (which can also be easily viewed from mobile phones) and switches to a content management system (CMS Wordpress)
In these years, the site has been enriched with a lof of content: interviews, guides, thematic articles, insights, etc, enhancing its role of online reference for the fetish community, not only in Italy.
Finally, in 2020, a new layout with new features .... the site you are surfing!
